New thinking is happening in Cornwall and new ideas emerging – often ideas and developments that are not happening anywhere else.
One of the key strengths of the Combined Universities in Cornwall initiative is the opportunities it provides for strengthening and deepening the academic activity conducted in partnership. This is particularly beneficial to Research. Whilst each of the CUC partner universities and colleges has its own Research activity, collaborative projects between partners are growing.
Our aim is to work together to strengthen the contribution of research to our institutional missions, by developing collaborative activity which opens up new opportunities to bid for research funding, contributes to more successful research ratings and increases our impact locally, nationally and internationally.
CUC partners have reached outline agreement on a programme of PhD and masters level provision, with a strong emphasis on collaboration.
