Cornwall College Launches E-business Management Foundation Degree
Cornwall College will be offering a brand new E-business Management Foundation Degree in September, which will equip students with the skills and knowledge for a career in the E-business information technology (IT) sector.
The degree, which is approved by the University of Plymouth, will be based at the College's Camborne campus and students will study a range of modules including finance, marketing, database management, website development, human computer interaction and multimedia communications.
Chris Jenkins, Programme Manager for the course explains: "The Internet has become more than just another business tool. It has fundamentally altered the business environment and consumer behaviour. This new course will produce graduates who understand IT in an applied business context with an emphasis on creative and cost-effective enterprise solutions. From this course students can go on to fill the growing demand for skilled personnel who can maximise the e-business potential of a range of organisations."
One student who has already applied to study the course is Jordan Roberts, 17 from St Austell, who is currently completing his IT Practitioners (Web Media) BTEC National Diploma at the College's St Austell campus.
"I feel this E-business qualification is a natural progression from the web media course. I think it will broaden my knowledge in the field which will hopefully assist me with my future career. I think it's great that I can do this course locally without having to move away and I'm looking forward to starting it in September."
