Performance Boosting Courses for Business
Cornwall College Business (CCB) is now running degree level short courses, at flexible times in a wide range of subjects to develop new skills in a wide range of areas. The courses are ideally for people looking to develop new skills to help develop their own opportunities as well as grow their businesses.
These courses, validated by the University of Plymouth include:

:: New Product Development for the Food Industry
:: Lean Fundamentals and many more.
The courses run over 3-5 days or in evening sessions over 8-16 weeks dependant on the course.
Emily Kavanaugh, of Pure Nuff Stuff, a natural cosmetics and skincare company said, "The skills and resources from the Effective Marketing course have helped us to grow our business by 11% even during the current economic downturn."
Funding is available for people employed within small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) or anyone who has received notice of redundancy. This means the courses are reduced from £200 to £100 for courses booked before 31 August 2009. (Conditions apply). Further funding is available for people who are
unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week who may be able to attend free of charge.
Carleen Kelemen, Director of the Convergence Partnership Office for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, said, "In these challenging times it is becoming increasingly important for businesses to increase and widen their skills so they can remain competitive. This is one of a range of ESF Convergence investments designed to support people do just that."
