Business Innovation of the Year Award
The 2008 Cornwall Business Awards took place on Thursday 8th May at St Mellion International Hotel, Golf & Country Club.
Combined Universities in Cornwall sponsored the Business Innovation of the Year Award which was made to the company that best demonstrated success with an innovative individual product or service launched anytime in the last year.
Winner of the award was Frugi, an organic clothing company that is based at Gear Farm, on the Helford River.
Thrilled by winning the "Best Innovation" and "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards, Lucy Jewson, co-founder of Frugi said, "It's absolutely amazing that a small and ethical company like ours is recognised amongst what seem like business giants to us."
CUC Business Development Manager, Peter Castell presented the award along with Simon Woodroffe, former panellist on TV show Dragon's Den.
