The CUC initiative has received investment from both ESF and ERDF Convergence, and their predecessor the Objective One Programme, the South West Regional Development Agency, Cornwall Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

Impact
The actual gross value added (GVA) effect of CUC Phase 1 and 2 investment in Cornwall to 2009 was £52 million. The predicted GVA effect of CUC Phase 1 and 2 investment in Cornwall to 2025 is £183 million (Source: Independent model created by DTZ Pieda).
Since 2005, the percentage of people in Cornwall with higher level skills (training to NVQ level 4 or higher) has risen from 20.5% to 24.2%.
